關(guān)于英國(guó)留學(xué)入學(xué)時(shí)間，大家普遍了解的情況是秋季入學(xué)，第二年夏天結(jié)束一學(xué)年的學(xué)習(xí)。普遍說(shuō)來(lái)，英國(guó)大學(xué)的入學(xué)時(shí)間跟國(guó)內(nèi)相同，都是秋季（9或10月份）入學(xué)，到第二年夏天（6或7月份）為一學(xué)年，每學(xué)年分為三學(xué)期，稱之為：第一學(xué)期autumn term 9月底-12月初，之后是圣誕假期；第二學(xué)期Spring term 1月初-3月中下旬，之后為復(fù)活節(jié)假期；第三個(gè)學(xué)期summer term 4月中旬-6月中旬下旬，之后為暑假。一般每個(gè)學(xué)期10周，這個(gè)時(shí)間安排稱之為Academic Calendar。
這里說(shuō)一下題外話，關(guān)于學(xué)期安排大部分大學(xué)幾乎相差不大，當(dāng)然也有一些例外的情況，比如：
1 對(duì)每個(gè)學(xué)期的名稱稱呼有不同，比例，劍橋大學(xué)的三個(gè)學(xué)期稱之為 Michaelmas, Lent, Easter ，牛津大學(xué)稱之為 Michaelmas, Hilary, Trinity；
2 并不是每個(gè)學(xué)期都正好是10周，很多大學(xué)第一和第二學(xué)期的時(shí)間稍長(zhǎng)，第三個(gè)學(xué)期時(shí)間較短，而且最后一個(gè)學(xué)期后面的時(shí)間主要是考試，基本考試結(jié)束就相當(dāng)于該學(xué)期結(jié)束；
3 同一個(gè)大學(xué)每年有時(shí)會(huì)由于每年節(jié)假日的不同而進(jìn)行調(diào)整，所以學(xué)期分配每年會(huì)有調(diào)整；
4 部分大學(xué)在第二學(xué)期中間有一個(gè)”reading week”，沒(méi)有課堂教學(xué)，相當(dāng)于放假一周；
5 部分蘇格蘭大學(xué)只開(kāi)設(shè)兩個(gè)學(xué)期，如圣安德魯U(kuò)niversity of St Andrews: Martinmas, Candlemas，第一個(gè)學(xué)期為秋季開(kāi)學(xué)到圣誕節(jié)，第二個(gè)學(xué)期為1月份到5月底，期間3月中下旬有兩周的春假。
但是，優(yōu)越教育的顧問(wèn)婷婷老師表示，盡管英國(guó)大多數(shù)的課程都開(kāi)始于秋季，但是依然有不少大學(xué)提供春季開(kāi)學(xué)的課程（英國(guó)本科與碩士預(yù)科，大一文憑課程，以及少部分的本科與碩士課程都提供春季入學(xué)）。而適合申請(qǐng)英國(guó)春季入學(xué)的主要有以下幾類(lèi)學(xué)生：
1 由于之前有其他打算錯(cuò)過(guò)了秋季入學(xué)申請(qǐng)機(jī)會(huì)，臨時(shí)需要申請(qǐng)英國(guó)留學(xué)的，比如參加高考、考研失敗的同學(xué)或者本科畢業(yè)后找工作不理想的同學(xué)；
2 秋季申請(qǐng)由于競(jìng)爭(zhēng)太激烈而導(dǎo)致申請(qǐng)失敗的同學(xué)；
3 準(zhǔn)備語(yǔ)言考試太晚，沒(méi)來(lái)得及申請(qǐng)秋季入學(xué)的同學(xué)；
4 之前由于重修或者補(bǔ)考，沒(méi)有達(dá)到秋季入學(xué)通知書(shū)要求的條件的同學(xué)。
接下來(lái)，婷婷老師具體說(shuō)明一下英國(guó)春季入學(xué)本科和碩士的特色。顯然，對(duì)于秋季入學(xué)，不管是從專(zhuān)業(yè)還是學(xué)校角度，可選擇的范圍更廣，但是春季入學(xué)有其自身的優(yōu)勢(shì)：
1 首先，如果等到第二年秋季再入學(xué)其實(shí)相當(dāng)于白白浪費(fèi)了一年，如果達(dá)到直接入讀的條件，不需要再上語(yǔ)言班或者預(yù)科班的，春季直接入學(xué)可以節(jié)省等待的時(shí)間；
2 普遍說(shuō)來(lái)，英國(guó)大學(xué)春季入學(xué)申請(qǐng)人數(shù)比秋季少，申請(qǐng)成功率相對(duì)會(huì)比較高，我們都了解，秋季申請(qǐng)過(guò)程中，由于申請(qǐng)人數(shù)過(guò)多，很多滿足入學(xué)要求的學(xué)生由于名額競(jìng)爭(zhēng)壓力大而拿不到錄取通知書(shū)；
3春季入學(xué)也很理想地避免了秋季入學(xué)帶來(lái)的簽證申請(qǐng)高峰。
另外，要提醒大家的是，有的同學(xué)會(huì)擔(dān)心春季開(kāi)學(xué)的課程不如秋季開(kāi)學(xué)的正規(guī)，教學(xué)質(zhì)量比秋季開(kāi)學(xué)低，但這一點(diǎn)是絲毫不用擔(dān)心的，因?yàn)閮深?lèi)課程唯一的區(qū)別就是開(kāi)學(xué)時(shí)間，其他都是一樣的，不管是課程設(shè)置、教學(xué)質(zhì)量、所能享受的教學(xué)資源、學(xué)習(xí)評(píng)估方法標(biāo)準(zhǔn)還是所獲證書(shū)的認(rèn)可程度。
然后，我們簡(jiǎn)單說(shuō)一下一般的申請(qǐng)時(shí)間計(jì)劃表：
8、9月份：選擇申請(qǐng)?jiān)盒＃瑴?zhǔn)備制作申請(qǐng)材料；
9、10月份：遞交材料，準(zhǔn)備語(yǔ)言考試；
10、11月份：收到通知書(shū)，滿足學(xué)校相關(guān)錄取通知書(shū)條件，選擇入讀院校。交押金申請(qǐng)簽證所需CAS；
11、12月份：安排好住宿、遞交簽證申請(qǐng)；
12、01月份：獲得簽證，準(zhǔn)備入學(xué)。
接下來(lái)，同學(xué)們會(huì)擔(dān)心春季開(kāi)學(xué)后，課時(shí)如何安排，具體的畢業(yè)時(shí)間等。一般來(lái)說(shuō)，不同學(xué)校會(huì)有不同的安排，春季開(kāi)學(xué)學(xué)生畢業(yè)時(shí)間分兩種。一種是比秋季入學(xué)的同學(xué)晚一個(gè)學(xué)期畢業(yè)（Courses with a January start will finish a semester later than those that started in September ），比如倫敦都市大學(xué)等，這種普遍適用于碩士；第二種是，將第一學(xué)年的課程壓縮，假期減短，這樣第二年跟前一年秋季入學(xué)同步開(kāi)設(shè)課程（Studying from January through to July, with a short break at Easter, allows students to join the second-years in September），比如考文垂大學(xué)等，這種普遍適用于本科。
