歷史出國讀研詳解

　　人類的發展經歷了漫長的一段歷程，歷史學家就是這段歷程的忠實記錄者，很多人對于歷史研究的印象還停留在枯燥古板的研究上，其實不然，現代歷史研究早已經買入了一個更加科學的時代。對歷史的研究能讓人明辨得失，甚至可以推動時代的進步，真正的歷史學家往往像明鏡，真實地照射出歷史，也堅定地照亮未來。

　　近年來，英國留學的熱門程度在不斷飆升，中國有很多學生會選擇赴英留學，但是，他們很多人更愿意選擇比較火爆的商科專業或者工科專業。文科類專業除了英語專業，很少有學生會選擇出國留學，其實歷史學是英國大學的傳統王牌專業，相比較其他更為實用的商科等專業而言，歷史學專業表面看起來顯得那么不實用，但是恰恰因為這種曲高和寡，使得歷史學在英國有些不食人間煙火，而社會對于那些選擇學習歷史專業的學生和教授，也多少會高看一些，認為是真正的學者。

　　英國的歷史學專業下設很多分支學科，分的非常詳細，就業方面，畢業于大歷史專業的學生，既可以選擇進入高校擔任研究與教學職位，也可以去中學教授歷史，同樣可以進入博物館、藝術館甚至藝術品市場從事商業類工作，所以這個學科的就業前景并非大家所想象的那樣無處可依，相反冷門專業的就業率反而遠遠高于那些大熱專業。

　　下面介紹幾所英國的歷史專業名校及特色專業。

　　劍橋大學

　　這個學校的名氣，教育質量，科研水平（尤其是歷史專業），地理位置的優越，另人神往的程度等等用再多的語言描述都不為過，所以也就不再多說了。

　　因為該校的課程多因其科研水平著稱，所以歷史系的研究生課程也基本都是MRes或者Mphil之類的研究式課程，如：MPhil in Economic and Social History，MPhil in Historical Studies，MPhil in Medieval History，MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History，MPhil in Early Modern History，MPhil in Modern European History，MLitt in History等。

　　目前該校的網上申請收費是25磅，郵寄申請暫不收費。因為申請人多競爭激烈，如果要申請這個學校，需要盡快郵寄申請材料了。

　　圣安德魯斯大學

　　全英綜合排名第6的大學。很多人認為這個學校是因為威廉王子親駕而名氣大增的，其實這個學校歷來就是英國人心中除了Oxbridge之外最神圣的學校之一, 建于1413年。St Andrews University位于蘇格蘭東部的海邊袖珍城市St Andrew。根據英國教育權威機構RAE和QAA的評定，不論是在傳統的文學，歷史學，社會學，數學，物理學，經濟學還是在新興的計算機，商科，心理學等領域，該校在科研和教學領域都分別達到5分和24分的滿分，個別甚至科研水平達到5星級水平。因其古老的傳統，文學，歷史和社會學尤為著名。

　　歷史專業的碩士課程有：M.Litt. and M.Phil. in Ancient History；M.Litt. and M.Phil. in Central and Eastern European Studies, Environmental History； M.Litt. in Historical Research；M.Litt.and M.Phil. in Medieval Hisotry； M.Litt.Middle Eastern History； M.Litt. in Modern Historiography； M.Litt. in Modern History； MLitt in Reformation Studies, Stottish History etc.

　　約克大學

　　英國綜合排名前10的大學。在英國歷史專業排名前10的大學中，York 大學的歷史專業碩士課程是授課式課程最多最全面的，尤其是中世紀歷史方面的課程。如果想只拿到碩士學位就工作而不是想繼續做研究的話，最好選擇這個學校。

　　授課式的碩士課程有MA/MPhil History Research, MA Historical Research, MA History and Politics-Popular Movements, MA Local History, MA Medieval History, MA Medieval Studies, MA Modern History, MA Railway studies, MA Representations and Contexts(1750-1850) 等；

　　研究式的課程有研究方向有 Ancient History， Medieval History, Early Modern and Later Modern British History, Early Modern and Modern European History, American History, Latin American and Caribbean History 等 。

　　倫敦大學學院

　　是英國倫敦大學下屬的20多所學院中最為著名的學院之一, 位于倫敦市中心。英國綜合排名前10，也是很多國際學生向往的學校。

　　MA in Ancient History, MA in Medieval Studies, MA in Modern History, MA in European History, MA in Dutch Golden Age etc. 都是非常不錯的專業。

　　布里斯托大學

　　英國綜合排名10位上下，歷史專業排名前10的大學。位于威爾士，是風景優美的海濱城市。Bristol是一所實力很強的綜合性大學，在文學，傳媒，經管，IT等教學和科研領域都享有盛譽。

　　歷史課程包含在Arts Faculty,主要的課程有 MA Ancient History and Historiography, MA Contemporary History, MA Medieval Studies 以及MA Medieval and Modern History等等。

　　格拉斯哥大學

　　格拉斯哥大學是英國在許多學科領域科研和教學實力很強的綜合性大學，也是英國最古老6所大學（Oxbridge, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow） 之一。Glasgow大學的歷史系特色在于不僅專業全面，而且多偏重理科性質。

　　萊斯特大學

　　英國綜合排名前20的大學，強項在生命科學，經社，商科，傳媒和考古等。Leicester大學的考古專業曾被評為英國第一。歷史專業有MA History 和Mphil History， 其中Mhpil專業的學生很多畢業后在本校讀博（PhD History）。Leicester University位于英格蘭中部獨具英國特色的大學城Leicester，距離倫敦1個小時的車程左右，距離Loughborough僅半小時之隔。
