英國(guó)的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金大致分為三類(lèi):英國(guó)政府獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金、英國(guó)院校獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金和其他類(lèi)型獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金(助學(xué)金)，這里每類(lèi)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金我們都舉例說(shuō)明一下：
第一大類(lèi)政府獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金
英國(guó)志奮領(lǐng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金B(yǎng)ritish Chevening Scholarships
英國(guó)外交和聯(lián)邦事務(wù)部(FCO) 及其合作伙伴或贊助商聯(lián)合出資，有兩種類(lèi)型的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金：第一種是Chevening Fellowships ，Chevening Fellowships是提供給已經(jīng)在職業(yè)生涯中達(dá)到了影響位置專(zhuān)業(yè)人士，并希望通過(guò)量身定制的短期課程，在英國(guó)高校，以增加他們的知識(shí)，社交和潛力；第二種是普通大學(xué)生可以申請(qǐng)的Chevening Scholarships:

• university tuition fees (please note that there is a fee cap applied to MBA programmes which requires applicants to cover any additional cost over £18,000)

• Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
• Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended
• Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a post-graduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK
• Have at least two years’ work experience
• Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 14 July 2016
• Meet the Chevening English language requirement by 14 July 2016

蘇格蘭“蘭十字獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金”（Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships，SSS）
是一個(gè)由蘇格蘭政府和蘇格蘭高等教育機(jī)構(gòu)聯(lián)合提供資金支持的大型獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金計(jì)劃。該計(jì)劃提供近200個(gè)名額，每單獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金價(jià)值2000英鎊。獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金主要用來(lái)支付在蘇格蘭任何一家高等教育機(jī)構(gòu)攻讀本科、碩士和博士學(xué)位學(xué)生一年的學(xué)費(fèi)。

以下是具體的申請(qǐng)要求：
• Have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course before an application can be considered.
• Be a citizen of Canada, India, USA or the People's Republic of China (Hong Kong also being eligible as it is a Special Administrative Region of China).
• Be able to demonstrate that they can meet the costs of living in Scotland and the remaining tuition fees.
• Complete an application form and submit it to their selected institution by the closing date of 31 March 2015.
• Not have previously studied for a full undergraduate degree in Scotland.
• Not have previously received a Saltire Scholarship.
Eligible courses:
• The course must be an undergraduate, Masters or PhD level course in one of the following broad subject areas: Science, technology, creative industries, financial services, renewable and clean energy.
• Courses must be full time and delivered in Scotland. Online, distance learning or courses delivered at a Scottish university campus overseas are not eligible for the scholarship.

這里介紹一下以下三種英國(guó)大學(xué)的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金
第一種稱(chēng)之為subject-specific scholarships，也就是針對(duì)某些科目開(kāi)設(shè)的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金項(xiàng)目，大家可以通過(guò)網(wǎng)站查詢(xún)學(xué)生所學(xué)轉(zhuǎn)專(zhuān)業(yè)在哪些大學(xué)有提供獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，
第二種是sports scholarships to support talented student athletes.有體育強(qiáng)項(xiàng)的學(xué)生有資格申請(qǐng)?jiān)擃?lèi)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，
第三種就是專(zhuān)門(mén)針對(duì)中國(guó)學(xué)生設(shè)立的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。

至于何時(shí)申請(qǐng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，我們可以了解到絕大部分獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金是在拿到offer后才可以申請(qǐng)；部分院校在填寫(xiě)課程申請(qǐng)表時(shí)即可選填是否申請(qǐng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，這種情況，我們建議學(xué)生在申請(qǐng)課程時(shí)即填寫(xiě)相關(guān)內(nèi)容，因?yàn)橛?guó)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)和課程申請(qǐng)一樣，遵循早到早得的原則，在這之前按照該文章前面的內(nèi)容了解好各項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的特點(diǎn)。
填寫(xiě)申請(qǐng)表，需要填寫(xiě)類(lèi)似PS的內(nèi)容，比如為什么你覺(jué)得你有資格申請(qǐng)這個(gè)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，有的甚至需要提交專(zhuān)業(yè)相關(guān)的論文。
另外部分院校提供family discount，即之前有家庭成員在該大學(xué)完成學(xué)業(yè)的話，可以獲得一定折扣。
第三類(lèi)其他類(lèi)別的就是一些中國(guó)機(jī)構(gòu)開(kāi)設(shè)的給赴英留學(xué)的學(xué)生設(shè)立的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金項(xiàng)目，比如中國(guó)國(guó)家留學(xué)基金管理委員會(huì)等等。
